One of the biggest and most popular Fall/Winter 2007 trends are ankle boots and booties.
Yes, there is a difference between ankle boots and booties, but both are a hot trend right now. Ankle boots end 1 to 4 inches above your ankle, where booties generally end right at the ankle.

While it is a decidedly cute trend, it’s not recommended for everyone. Most of the booties I’ve seen have thin, spike heels which isn’t real practical if you are carrying around a 4 month old baby, like me! If you’re just going to work, going shopping, or hitting the town with your gal pals, then booties are a definite must for you.
Ankle boots are a bit more practical and can be worn by most. The most popular way to wear them right now is with tights or leggings and a nice sweater dress or hoodie dress. They can be worn with wide leg pants or cute skinny jeans as well.
