Driving through northern New Hampshire tonight I was kinda/sorta/not really surprised to see snow in the side of the road. I mean it is November after all…you sort of expect that sort of thing in the north, but SNOW…already? I immediately began to take mental stock of my winter boot situation. If you live in a cold, snowy climate you definitely need more than one boot. So here are my picks for the coming season:
If it’s simply cold and you don’t have to worry about slush and ice, you can’t go wrong with a pair of Uggs. They are warm, oddly chic, and come in a variety of styles from the basic to the tricked out Jimmy Choo (see earlier posts):
If it’s wet AND cold, try the Flora Boot by London Fog:
This 100% suede, waterproof boot is the perfect blend of Yankee practical and edgy biker chick. These boots have a lot going for them. And they are perfect for sidewalks that are shoveled but still have a hint of ice and snow hanging around. As soon as I’m done posting this I’m going to treat myself to a pair of these fun, funky boots.
For a full on storm, try the Sorel Snow Angel Boots. I bought a pair of these last year and was so happy to have sloppy, slushy, freezing days so that I could really maximize my purchase. They were perfect for walking the dogs, running errands and sledding with the kids. Plus, they are super warm and very easy to get on and off :
All of these boot selections are available at Piperlime, except for the Uggs which are available at Uggaustralia.com
