Who doesn’t love dressing a little Americana for the 4th of July? I mean, it’s not as obnoxious as wearing and ugly Christmas sweater for the holidays and I’m pretty sure more people wear fourth of July related clothing items than any other holiday!
So today’s outfit is a bit festive! I grabbed this gorgeous Striped Smocked Waist Midi Skirt at Target on sale for $24 (size small) and I was pleasantly surprised to find it has POCKETS! If you are a mom, you know this is a huge plus when it comes to clothing. Leggings are awesome and comfortable, but the lack of pockets makes them less than ideal for busy moms. At least this lightweight, comfortable cotton skirt has pockets which makes it perfect for summer! Keys, phone, chapstick, whatever. I wish I had bought this skirt in the other color before it sold out!
I think it goes perfectly (for the Fourth of July) with my navy blue crinkle blouse from StitchFix. This lightweight blouse is flouncy and cool in hot weather and looks great tucked into the skirt. It’s too big on me now that I’ve lost weight, but I still love wearing it. (It’s a size medium for reference.)
I’ve had these Blowfish sandals for at least 5 or 6 years and I just love them. You can’t get the same ones anymore, but I’ve linked to similar ones below.
