Worn Free brings back the imagery that defined classic rock-and-roll to today’s fashion world with comfortable T-shirts originally worn by John Lennon, Joe Strummer, Janis Joplin, Joey Ramone and Deborah Harry – featuring the most memorable designs and slogans of the 60s and 70s.
The revival has been welcomed by celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Robert Downey Jr, Adrian Grenier and Naomi Campbell, who have delighted in the chance to honor their favorite rock ‘n’ roll revolutionaries with Worn Free. The brand is a hit in the fashion world with those that want a piece of clothing that serves as a piece of pop culture history, not just a walking advertisement.
Each shirt comes with an individualized sticker hang-tag detailing the history behind the images and includes a photo of the star wearing it. This time, the revolution will not be televised, but worn proudly on your back – combining art, pop culture and rock & roll into a line of hip, but subversive, T-shirts that really make history come alive.
“These images are part of our living history,” says Worn Free designer Steve Coe. “They have meaning, not just to fans of these artists, but to everyone.”
I’m not usually a fan of wearing skulls on my chest, but seeing how cool and casual it looked on Jennifer Aniston made me rethink that. I decided to go for it! After seeing it in person and wearing it with some skinny jeans and my grey TOMS hoodie, that it wasn’t so bad afterall. It really gives you that rocker chic, carefree look.
Being from New Hampshire with the motto “Live Free Or Die”, I immediately fell in love with this tee. This one is a little more “kid friendly” for all you proud momma’s out there! The basic design of these shirts are very flattering and their ultra soft too. Very high quality and a timeless piece really.
